About the Class
Script & Set Study
Ages 9 to adult
In Script & Set Study, students are introduced to the business side of acting.
This includes:
- On-set etiquette
- Gaining a proficient understanding of technical concepts.
- Diving deeper into script analysis and character breakdowns
- Learning how to behave as professional working actors on set.
Session one will focus on script analysis and tease some of what students could learn in our Scholar category, while session two will focus on the inner workings of a film set as they relate to the working actor, teasing our “On Set Experience” class.
At the end of the course, students participate in our annual Showcase; performing in front of a virtual panel of top industry VIP’s.
This class is great for students who are looking to advance beyond the Newcomer level; students who are quick studies and enjoy more in-depth script work
Script & Set JR
For ages 5-8 years old
Script & Set Study JR course at The Actor’s Scene is a perfect fit for actors who have completed the On Camera Foundations course but are still too young to participate in our Working Actor programs, which are for ages nine and up. Script & Set JR builds on the skills learned in On Camera Foundations and introduces new concepts that work with young minds to expand acting and industry knowledge at a measured pace.

This program is specifically designed to prepare young actors to enter our main Working Actor program at age nine.
Once a student is old enough to enroll in a Working course (either Taped Audition or Script & Set Study), it will be recommended that they take the course as it is much more in depth and is a challenge specifically for older actors.
