GREAT ACTORS start with a solid foundation. Acting Foundations is for kids and adults new to acting, who want to explore the world of on camera/film acting or those who simply want to build confidence/self-esteem skills. It’s also great for those who need an outlet for high energy or to learn focus. Acting Foundation also focuses on Vivid Imaginations, Teamwork and Listening skills
We strive to make Acting Foundations high energy and fun while helping draw students out of their shell, gain confidence and learn to use every tool in a performance. Students in Acting Foundations are not necessarily serious career seekers–especially in the 4-17 age ranges. We are there to encourage, enhance self -esteem and open eyes to the wonder of acting. The adult class is an hour longer and the additional hour focuses on breaking down the walls adults have spent years building so they are more vulnerable and able access the wellspring of emotions inside them.

-IMPROV ONE-
Improv One is a 9 month Improv course dedicated to help students learn the art of Improv. But it’s so much more than that. Improv encourages growth in imagination, critical and fast thinking, problem solving, confidence, focus, listening, teamwork and much more! And regardless of what level of actor you are: new to seasoned, Improv strengthens these valuable skills for ALL actors.
In addition, Improv can be great for business people looking to improve communication and presentation skills in a fun, encouraging and upbeat way. Actually… Improv is perfect for anyone looking to have fun!
No homework makes this a popular choice for busy students!
-IMPROV PERFORMANCE TRACK-
For students who have completed Improv One, this class focuses on preparing students for Improv Performances in front of live audiences. Each session, students will delve into Improv techniques, games, and activities that will sharpen the mind and strengthen creativity. Coach will emphasize comedic timing, creative story lines, and characterization- all components of a fun and hilarious live performance.
Each session will culminate with students performing in front of a live studio audience either at TAS, other venue or event, or even via Zoom (as those events have become popular during the pandemic). Students in this track will not perform at Showcase and will instead perform at live events.
No homework makes this a popular choice for busy students.

This two-year program starts students down the track to become working actors. Focus centers on learning skills for auditioning, script analysis and set knowledge. By the end of this two-year track, actors will demonstrate all the skills and knowledge needed to be professional working actors.
Working Actor JUNIOR is a modified version of the curriculum created with the young working actor in mind. This program builds the necessary skills and knowledge in young actors to prepare them for working in the industry, and for joining our main Working Actor Program when they turn 9.

*Contract required to enter Conservatory Track for each year. Commitment required for 1 year at a time. Audition or Approval from TAS staff required to enter Conservatory Track.
This is a two-year program for those students who want to delve deep into acting techniques. While not a true conservatory program which immerses the actor into training for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 2-3 years, our conservatory track will be a sampling of what one would learn if they were to go to a conservatory without spending the hours or the money. Our curriculum is comparable to what one would learn in an MFA or conservatory program. It’s excellent preparation for those teens/young adults who may be looking to apply to conservatory. It’s also an excellent substitute for those who don’t have the time or finances that a true conservatory requires. Conservatory track is great for film or theater actors.
Conservatory Year 1: 32 Weeks starting in August
CONTRACT REQUIRED for full 32 weeks or through April depending on start date.
Classes for ages 13-adult **10, 11, and 12 year olds can enter the program with approval from TAS staff.

This price can be divided into as many as 9 monthly installments depending on start date.
Discount: Pay in full $1400. NO REFUNDS on pay in full students!
Conservatory Year 1: Sampling techniques of Meisner, Adler, Hagen, Stanislavsky
Many of Hollywood’s stars received training from conservatory or MFA type programs that teach the techniques of Meisner, Adler, Hagen, and Stanislavsky… all founders of great acting techniques. If you read the training background of many of our great actors today, you realize they spent a whole year learning Meisner, or a whole year studying Hagen. Our conservatory program provides in depth study of 2 of the best techniques from each of these acting founders. The goal for students in this program is to learn which elements from each technique strike a personal cord and to develop those to work for them in bringing characters to life.

Conservatory Year 2: 32 Weeks Starting in August
CONTRACT REQUIRED for full 32 weeks or through April depending on start date. Prerequiste: Conservatory Year 1

Year 2: Sampling techniques of Chekhov, Suzuki, Bogart and Stanislavsky’s Method
Your path down the Conservatory Track continues with study on additional techniques that are often a part of a curriculum in college and MFA programs. Adding more techniques to your tool belt deepens your understanding of what brings 3-dimensional life to a character set on paper. The more layers you add to your character, the richer and more interesting your performance will be. Practical Aesthetics will also be introduced in this year of the Conservatory Track.

Classes for ages 14-adult
Contract Price: $3500 total (2 year tuition rate)
This price can be divided into as many as 23 monthly installments depending on start date.
Discount: pay in full-$3000 for both years. No Refunds on Pay in Full price
Years 1 & 2
The Class is designed as a physical accompaniment to the intellectual training like Practical Aesthetics or Stanislavsky. The class will use aspects of Alexander Technique, Physical Destination, Viewpoints, Procedural Acting, Tadashi Suzuki, Michael Chekhov and more to aid the actor in releasing habitual behavior to better create a truthful and reactive physical character.
A strong physicality is crucial to the professional actor. Great training makes use of the entire instrument: voice, mind, and body. Actors must master every aspect of expression and one’s intellectual analysis, vocal technique and text skills deserve focus but they should never come at a cost the actors attention to a strong physical presence.
