NEW this year! You asked, we listened. The Offline Communication Program is now broken down into 4 separate class series!
Each 8 weeks will begin a new class with a new theme: Daily Communication, Work Communication, Public Speaking/Presentation, and teamwork/collaboration. Each 8 week theme will follow along with our other yearlong courses, but you can choose to sign up for the one(s) you like- or you can sign up for all 4.
Courses are sold separately, so it’s never been easier!
The Offline Communication Program at The Actor’s Scene is a course developed for NON-actors who are looking to build every day people skills that will benefit them in life, school, and the workplace.
Classes available for ages 9 to adult.

About the Class
What are Soft Skills? Simply put, they are people skills (or rather, the core skills) that we all need to thrive in our daily environments.
In studies done by Harvard University, Stanford Research Center, The Carnegie Foundation and others, we see that 85% of business success is directly linked to how well you demonstrate strong soft skills- with most jobs requiring the ability to represent, communicate, collaborate, and exercise critical thinking.
In our post-pandemic, technology-saturated world we see that Gen Z (teens and young adults) have experienced a 50% decline in these skills, with alarming reports of anxiety around simple everyday tasks- such as making a phone call or talking about yourself in an interview.
We, at TAS, want to do our part to help provide teens and adults with the knowledge, tools, and experience to thrive in their daily lives by maximizing these important interpersonal skills.
We are excited to apply our motto of Confidence Makers to more than just actors- We want to be Confidence Makers in our entire community!
Check out the 4 Offline Communications Programs below. You can go ahead and lock in your spot for just one- or sign up for them all!
What can students expect?
With over 20 years of experience in cultivating a safe space for students to grow, we are excited to bring the same benefits to our Offline Communications students that our acting students enjoy. Such as:
- Small Class sizes.
- A safe and judgement-free environment that focuses on growth.
- A hands-on approach to lessons that facilitates interactive learning.
- A structured syllabus designed to highlight coarse material- including exercises to do at home that will increase success.
- Programs that approach healthy mindsets, as well as behavior.
What's covered in each course?
While each program will focus on its specific theme, there are certain things you can expect from all four courses.
- On-going and personalized feedback from a professional coach.
- 90 minutes of instruction in a small class setting to ensure max attention for each student.
- Built in tasks and challenges to test comprehension and development.
- Fun improv games to help students break out of their comfort zone.
- An end of session challenge to help students practice their new skills with a professional (and receive in-time feedback!).
